It is this time of the year, that every Pin-Up who follows Viva, gets excited- Miss Viva Las Vegas Final, we will meet a new Queen (we already know who won but that I leave for the end )!

To ten moment, kiedy każda Pin-Upka, która śledzi Viva Las Vegas, zaczyna się ekscytować do granic możliwości- finał Miss Viva Las Vegas! Poznamy nową królową Pin-Up'u (wiemy już, kto wygrał, ale to pozostawię na sam koniec).

I am the first (and, so far, the only) Polish Pin-Up that has made it to the final. This put a great responsibility on my shoulders, to represent the Polish Pin-Up community the best I could.

Jestem pierwszą i jak do tej pory jedyną Polką, która dostała się do finału. Nie ukrywam, że poczułam, jak wielka odpowiedzialność spoczywa na moich barkach. Chciałam jak najpiękniej zaprezentować nasz kraj i społeczność Pin-Upek, która z roku na rok rośnie.

Being there, I can tell you all about the behind the scenes and how emotional you get, knowing that in few hours you will be standing in-front of the 30 000+ crowd, trying to stop your knees from shaking and answer the question in a way, so it makes sense :D

Jako, że przeżyłam ten finał, mogę Wam powiedzieć wszystko na temat tego, co działo się za kulisami i jak wyglądały przygotowania do wyjścia na scenę ;) Mogę Wam także opowiedzieć o tym, jak bardzo trzęsły mi się kolana, kiedy uświadomiłam sobie, że stoję przed poad 30 tysięcznym tłumem i jury, na które składały się same gwiazdy międzynarodowej sceny Retro/Pin-Up/Rockabilly.

Myśl o tym, że dodatkowo mam jeszcze odpowedzieć na pytanie i nie przynieść wstydu sobie i Polsce... Wierzcie mi, nie pamiętam takich emocji od dnia mojego ślubu :D

I was super happy when I got to know that I will be in the final with Greta Gardner and Mademoiselle Gisèle, as I have already met them and knew, we are going to have great time!

Was also super excited to meet the rest of the Ladies, that came from all over the world!

Bardzo natomiast ucieszył mnie fakt, że będę w finale z Gretą Gardner i Mademoiselle Gisèle, które miałam okazję poznać na żywo.

Wiedziałam, że spędzimy ten weekend w radosnej atmosferze i będziemy mogły liczyć na siebie w momentach kryzysu ;)

Fakt, że poznam resztę finalistek, które przyleciały z całego świata, jeszcze bardziej podgrzewal atmosferę!

The day itself.

After the Meet and Greet that happened the evening before, you do not get much sleep ;)

For me the day started at 7 a.m.

I woke up and jump out of the bed like i drank 5 coffees already XD You can see it on the movies below.

Ale do rzeczy!

Sam dzień finału zaczął się dla mnie bardzo wcześnie, bo już od 7 rano.

Po wieczornym spotkaniu wszystkich finalistek oraz fanów (tzw. Meet and Greet), niewiele miałyśmy czasu na sen ;)

Adrenalina zrobiła jednak swoje i wyskoczyłam z łóżka, jakbym wypiła od razu 5 kaw :D

Yes, the preparations start early, so afterwards you can go to the Car Show and start promoting yourself and gather votes from the spectators.

Tak, przygotowania muszą zacząć się bardzo wcześnie, ponieważ do godziny przed finałem, każda z dziewczyn promuje się i poznaje z fanami, którzy potem oddają głos na swoją ulubienicę.

Let's start with the outfit I chose:

- the lingerie comes from my favorite, Polish brand: Ewa Michalak,

- garter belt was sponsored by GretaStore.pl. I chose this one, cause it has masks on it just like The Orleans logo =)

- stockings: What Katie Did

-shoes were sponsored by Royal Vintage <3

- and the pièce de résistance : the dress! There is a whole story about how the seamstress that was supposed to make my dreams come true failed and sent me a dress that made me cry but luckily the owner of Pavilon Vintage Classics came to the rescue and in the end I got this beautiful piece from her seamstress (Maria, I love you! <3)

Podsumuję Wam teraz mój outfit z tego dnia:

-bielizna pochodzi od mojej ulubionej Ewy Michalak,

-pas do pończoch zasponsorowała mi GretaStore.pl. Wybrałam ten model, ponieważ nawiązuje swoim motywem do logo The Orleans- hotelu, w którym odbywał się konkurs.

-pończochy pochądzą z What Katie Did,

-buty, każda z finalistek dostała od Royal Vintage.

- i pièce de résistance, czyli suknia! Historia jej powstania to osobny post, ale po wielkich dramatach i stresie, powstała dokładnie taka, jaką sobie wymarzyłam za sprawą właścicielki Pavilon Vintage Classics i jej krawcowej (Pani Marysiu, kocham Panią!)

At 7.45 I was supposed to pick up Lissete, so she could turn my hair into a master piece.

This is how The Orleans looks at 7.45 a.m. on Saturday :D

O 7.45 zeszłam do lobby, żeby odebrać moją fryzjerkę Lissette.

Liss is a true hair magician, I can totally recommend her, if you are looking for a reliable person to do your hair at Viva or Chicago, where she lives. Here thanks to Klaudia Bałazy, that has documented the process ;)

Liss to prawdziwa włosowa czarodziejka! Jeśli kiedykolwiek będziecie w Chicago albo na Viva i potrzebujecie kogoś, na kogo można liczyć, serdecznie Wam ją polecam!

Tutaj także podziękowania dla Klaudii Bałazy, która udokumentowała cały proces powstawania fryzury.

I did the make up myself, though my hands were shaking from nerves, and I was not sure how it is going to come out, but was pretty pleased with the result.

Makijaż, pomimo trzęsących się z nerwów dłoni, wykonałam sama i byłam naprawdę zadowolona z efektu końcowego.

I must admit, when I saw myself in a mirror and after on this picture that Klaudia took of me I squeaked of joy and excitement!

Muszę Wam przyznać, że kiedy zobaczyłam się w lustrze, a następnie na tym zdjęciu wykonanym przez Klaudię, to zakwiczałam z radości :D Czułam się jak milion dolców!

Now it was time to hit the Car Show, meet the fans, handout some promo goodies, so they vote for me ;) and meet the girls!!!

I do not remember how I got to the parking-lot, where the contest was taking place.

My emotions took over and this part of the day is one of many blanks in my head :D If not the pictures, I think I would not know, what happened before and after the contest.

Naszedł czas, żeby opuścić hotel i zmierzyć się z ogromnym upałem ;)

Jak wspomniałam, godziny przed finałem to czas na to, żeby poznawać się z fanami, rozdawać swoje materiały promocyjne i liczyć, że oddadzą głos własnie na nas.

Szczerze, to niewiele pamiętam ani ze spaceru na parking, na którym odbywał się Car Show ani tych godzin przed konkursem.

Emocje zdecydowanie wzięły górę nad pamięcią.

But going back to the subject ;) Except for the rates from judges, public could also vote, placing a coupon in one of the barrows with the picture of their favorite contestant. Their votes were afterwards calculated and added to the judges choices.

This is the reason why you should be present and walk around, so people can get to know you ;)

Wszyscy uczestnicy sobotniego wydarzenia mogli wspomóc sędziów konkursu, wrzucając głos do baryłek ze zdjęciem ulubionej kandydatki.

There was many people taking pictures of me and other girls, obviously we did not get all of them XD

Here are some from before we went to meet with Rockwell and get prepared for the contest with Diablo Rose and Miss Chan Delier.

Wiele osób robiło nam zdjęcia, niestety nie wszyscy byli tak mili jak Frank z PinUpDreams, żeby je potem nam udostępnić ;)

Tutaj z Diablo Rose z Wielkiej Brytanii oraz Miss Chan Delier z Norwegii.

After we got to the Sorting Booth the real emotions hit me.

I tried to stay calm but I really felt like my stomach is turning upside-down.

Recently I talked to Diablo and we both agreed that we should've spoken about those emotions among each other, cause that would calm us down. There is nothing wrong with one being nervous, anxious or experiencing the stage fright!

We all wanted to do our best representing our countries, ourselves, the causes we carry in our hearts but stress is a normal part of it and you should seek support and share with the others.

Kiedy już wszystkie znalazłyśmy się w umówionym wcześniej miejscu spotkania z naszą gospodynią- Rockwell De Vil, moje emocje sięgnęły zenitu.

Starałam się opanować i po porstu cieszyć wszystkim, co się dzieje dookoła, ale nie było to proste.

Rozmawiałam niedawno z Diablo i zgodnie stwierdziłyśmy, że dla wszystkich byłoby lepiej i łatwiej, jeśli podzieliłybyśmy się tymi emocjami ze sobą nawzajem.

Nie ma w tym nic wstydliwego, że nagle czujesz niepokój, tremę i ogromny stres. To zupełnie normalne, jeśli na co dzień nie występujesz na scenie. Zamiast dusić to w sobie, powinnaś się podzielić z innymi, bo najprawdopodobniej są tak samo zdenerwowane jak Ty ;)

Except for the obvious emotions we also had fun, as you can see on the movies and photos below.

All the girls were fantastic and I had great time goofing around with them!

It was also time to take some selfies and photos to remember this day to the fullest.

Poza tym spotkanie w namiocie, to był też czas na wygłupianie się i uwiecznianie tego niezwykłego wydarzenia.

I made some InstaStories of the moment, once we all started to walk towards the stage but it got lost somewhere or I forgot to save it :P. I only have few I took just minutes before the big moment;)

This 45 min, that we have waited was the moment when I realize that we are not here to compete but support each other.

The moment were emotions were taking over and tears showed in our eyes.

It hit me really hard that my husband wasn't there and girls hugged me to comfort me.

I did the same for them, when they started to melt.

Nakręciłam kilka InsaStories z drogi z namiotu pod scenę, ale albo gdzieś zniknęły albo zapomniałam ich zapisać ;) Poniżej zatem oficjalne zdjęcia wydarzenia, kilka moich własnych, Klaudii oraz jedno z Pin Up Kulture.

Te 45min, kiedy oczekiwałyśmy na wejście na scenę okazało się najbardziej scalającym nas momentem.

Pojawiły się łzy, ataki paniki, masa uścisków i wspierania się nawzajem.

Bardzo brakowało mi mojego męża, który niestety nie mógł przylecieć ze mną do Vegas i dziewczyny naprawdę mocno mnie wsparły.

Odwdzięczyłam się, kiedy one zaczęły stawać się emocjonalne.

Ponad 30 tysięcy osób, wszystkie oczy skierowane na Was...

I have no pictures from when I answered the question Rockwell prepared for me but Tim Hunter and GOrohot captured my scene presence pretty well :D

Nie mam zdjęć z wejścia na scenę ani odpowiedzi na pytanie, jakie zostało mi zadane,natomiast Tim Hunter i GOrohot świetnie uchwycili mój występ na scenie :D

Popatrzcie na ten uśmiech i skupienie, kiedy Rockwell czytała swoje pytanie ;)

I was super happy for Fran to win. From the moment I met her, I knew she should be the one to wear the crow!

I have never met such joyful and positive person!

If you do not follow her, you should! She is a living inspiration and proof that no matter what life throws at you, you can still greet each day with a smile and live it to the fullest!

Ogromnie się ucieszyłam, kiedy ogłoszono, że to właśnie Fran zdobyła koronę! Od momentu, kiedy ją poznałam, czułam, że to właśnie ona powinna wygrać!

Nie znam tak pozytywnej i radosnej osoby, która pomimo wielu nieszczęść od losu, ciągle wstaje z uśmiechem każdego dnia i walczy o siebie!

Miss Viva Las Vegas to nie konkurs piękności! To konkurs, w którym wygrywa ta, która prawdziwie reprezentuje Pin-Upowe wartości: wspieranie, inspirowanie innych i podążanie za samą sobą, pomimo przeciwności jakie napotykamy.

You can see from the photos on and off the stage that we did have a lot of fun and enjoyed each other's presence :)

Despite the fact, that we still keep contact, I regret we cannot just grab a coffee alltogether every week...

I really hope this year's contestants felt the same way, as we did!

Patrząc na zdjęcia poniżej możecie zobaczyć, że zarówno na jak i poza sceną, miałyśmy niezły ubaw i cieszyłyśmy się swoją obecnością.

Szczerze brakuje mi tych dziewczyn i pomimo, że ciagle utrzymujemy ze sobą kontakt, żałuję że nie możemy umawiać się na kawę co tydzień.

Mam nadzieję, że tegoroczne finalistki, bawiły sie tak dobrze, jak my!
